EXENCELL unveils its next-generation products to preempt in the key competition of standardization of energy storage

PRODUCT 2025-01-21

At the beginning of 2025, EXENCELL is making strides in the key competition of next-generation energy storage products with 7MWh energy storage system and 625Ah long-cycle energy storage cell, aiming at the direction of the energy storage industry development.

The core of the competition for next-generation energy storage products is "large capacity". By increasing the capacity of a single cell, the number of system components can be decreased, so does the number of series-parallel connections of the PACK, and thus the complexity of the BMS can be reduced to improve the overall performance and safety of the system.

Regarding the performance of EXENCELL 625Ah cell, 430+Wh/L (energy density), 96%+ (energy efficiency), ≥ 15,000 cls (cycle life), and zero capacity attenuation after 3,000 cycles, which means the capacity loss is minimal during use, the service life is prolonged and maintenance costs can be reduced. Furthermore, large-capacity products can also remove the unnecessary cost and improve the comprehensive value of energy storage. The integration of large-capacity cells and systems is higher, the cycle life is higher, and the LCOE is lower, thereby reducing the unit cost. The cell adopts the lamination process, and C angle does not exist in the process of encapsulating the tab, making full use of the corner space of the shell and improving the volume and energy density. In this way, the floor area and engineering expenditure of the energy storage system can be reduced, the internal resistance and the heat generation of the cell can be suppressed. Moreover, the heat resistance of EXENCELL 625Ah cell is also improved by nano-coated separator, and electrolyte is used to gel through a special process to ensure high safety performance.

At the same time, EXENCELL unveils 7MWh BESS, compared with the current dominant 5-6MWh BESS, the cost per watt-hour of 20 ft container BESS under the same level can be reduced by 10-20%, and the economic benefit can be increased by 50%.

System-level safety assurance of EXENCELL 7MWh BESS: the constant pressure carbon dioxide combined distribution system for safety protection and fire emergency & fire extinguishing. A constant pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system is used to protect multiple energy storage cabins, and smoke temperature sensing and combustible gas detectors are equipped for fire and thermal runaway detection. Triple safety protection is guaranteed in the early, middle and open flame phases of thermal runaway.

As an emergent company in the industry, EXENCELL has identified the next generation of energy storage products at the beginning of 2025, which will become a weapon to break the fierce competition, and also leave a footnote for the standardization of energy storage products.
