Government Delegates from Chongqing Municipality and Sichuan Province Visited EXENCELL Mianyang Factory

On December 28, 2023, government delegates from two major southwest regions in China, Chongqing Municipality and Sichuan Province, convened at EXENCELL Mianyang Factory to investigate the growth of the new energy-storage industry.

Chongqing Municipality, known for the Three Gorges and hot pot, and Sichuan Province, famous for giant panda and also hot pot which has different style from that of Chongqing, are important economic provinces in southwest China, with a total population of more than 110 million, an area of about 570 thousand square kilometers, and a GDP of over 1.2 trillion dollars (in 2022).

In terms of clean energy installed capacity, compared with Guangdong, Zhejiang Province in eastern China, Chongqing Municipality, dominated by coal power, and Sichuan Province, dominated by hydropower, have greater prospect, and Chongqing and Sichuan governments hoped to convey their determination to promote clean energy and energy storage applications to the society in this visit.

As the organizer of this event, EXENCELL teamed up with 27 key partner companies who are advanced in their respective fields, including upstream material suppliers of lithium and sodium battery, energy storage system integrators (ACE Battery, Tecloman), PV cell and module manufacture (Solarspace), industrial automation manufacturer (Harmontronics), and electrical equipment manufacturer (Schneider). The cases and advanced technologies and products of energy storage in all scenarios were presented to the government delegates. The participants said they would work closely with EXENCELL to build green, reliable and cost-effective clean energy and energy storage network in Sichuan Province and Chongqing Municipality.
